I round the corner of this aisle and see this guy, with a long mustache, back up and give me the once over. I had all 4 of my kiddos with me, so I'm thinking, "he's just feeling somewhat sorry for me because I have so many little people surrounding me, grabbing at me, somehow all the while running from each other, and saying, "Momma, Momma, Momma" (I think I need some nerve medication at the mere thought!). I started once to shout, "Please leave me alone and go find your mom!", but I thought people might think I'm kidnapping my own kids when I finally threw their hind-ends in the car and sped away.
Back to the guy... So I round the next corner and he's there again. Not scared to talk to a brick wall, I say, "Has anyone ever told you you look like Aaron Tippin?". He says (in his best twang), "Ma'am, I am Aaron Tippin". Big smile.
If you've ever heard him sing, you've heard him talk. So, "just like us", Aaron Tippin shops at Publix. And I'm not exaggerating when I say he's probably one of the nicest people I've ever met-- famous or not. :) Living in Nashville, we have more than our fair share of people who are famous or almost famous and think the rest of us owe them something. However, somewhere between the Gatorade and Koolaid, we struck up a conversation, he introduced his children and asked questions about mine... 'Course, he was probably also thanking God that his weren't rappelling out of his hair and down his back, like mine were. :)
While we're on a Publix kick, it's been a while since I shared my totals from a trip. Here are mine from last week.
