The Deal After The Deal

Are you an after the holiday(s) shopper? If you aren't, you really should be. We've talked before (here) about how much money can be saved shopping the day after to score some pretty outstanding deals. My friend Kim sent me a text yesterday morning saying K-Mart and Walmart both had their Christmas stuff marked down 75% off and she scored a new tree out of the deals at K-Mart. We both racked up on some good future birthday gifts for our kids' friends. I mean, when they have girlie sets of nail polish and lip gloss (and what little girl doesn't dig that stuff??) marked down to $1.25, I'm buying set, after set, after set.

Then my friend Mandi called and told me Kroger has their Pillow Pets 75% off. She went so crazy, she started grabbing them out of a cart that was so filled she thought they had to be returns... until a woman turned & gave her the "touch another thing in my cart and we'll go to blows" look and growled, "those are MINE!"

Your kid has been invited to birthday parties for half the girls in your elementary school? Bring it. Snatch up some after holiday deals and you're covered. :)

Not that this is an after the holidays deal, but Staples is running some pretty awesome organizational and school/office supply deals right now. They have several items that are a dollar and a few more that are $3.

A few of their deals are through the Easy Rebates program. If you're not familiar with it, go here. Hey, if nothing else, don't you know some kids that will be graduating from high school and going on to college? Last time I checked, they still use some of that stuff for higher learnin'. Put it back for graduation gifts! Regardless of the season, there's almost always something going on where bringing a gift would be appropriate. Why not save money and get stuff when it's dirt cheap? Until next time, save on, friends! :)

  1. Also if you sign up for Staples emails, they sent out a $5 off $25 coupon. This week they have binders at 100% rewards back. Why not make a profit by using the coupon?
