My Publix Haul

Okay so in my opinion, this post deserves more than your mere woot woot. It deserves a WOOOOT WOOOOT and think trucker horn when you say it. :)
I know the picture is kind of small, so here's the run down of my loot:
  • 6 3-pk rolls of paper towels (penny item of the week)
  • 1 skim milk
  • 1 Similac formula
  • 2 Cool Whip
  • 1 Oscar Meyer bacon
  • 8 cans Campbell's condensed soups
  • 2 TreSemme shampoos
  • 1 TreSemme mousse
  • 2 16-ct Kraft sandwich cheeses
  • 3 Duncan Hines brownie mixes (dude, totally gonna try to stay outta that tonight...) :)
  • 1 Planter's mixed nuts (for the mixed nuts who live in my house)
  • 2 Vanity Fair 100-ct napkins
  • 2 Bird's Eye frozen vegetables
  • 2 Pam cooking sprays
  • 2 boxes Quaker grits (yup, totally Southern... busted)
  • 4 10-ct boxes Quaker chewy granola bars
  • 6 bags Idahoan mashed potatoes
  • 6 bags Kraft shredded cheeses
  • and a partridge in a pear tree (couldn't resist)
If you've added everything up, that's 52 items. Wanna know my total out of pocket cost? $41.43. I saved $92.72. No kidding. If you break it down item for item, that's a mere $0.80/item. Sweet!

If you're wondering how I got so many of the penny items, I broke my order up into 6 purchases. The store I frequent has a cashier that I have developed a friendship with and she says I'm her "favorite coupon-er" (I've always tried to be the teacher's pet). On the flipside of that, I have visited another nearby store that limits my transactions to 2, so I can only get 2 penny items. The nerve! -I'm kidding-

Okay, if you're making a trip to Publix, here's an extra I found today. There was a tear pad coupon by the Vanity Fair napkins that made an already good deal even sweeter. Those 100-ct napkins, that I call my "cump'ny (read: company) napkins" (because we only use them when we have folks over) cost me $0.15 a package! We aren't havin' cump'ny tonight, but I may just bust 'em out and even eat off real dishes. HA!

Hope your Wednesday has been a good one! Get out there and save you some money, honey! They're practically giving stuff away! :)

  2. Becky, Thanks so much for stopping by! Melissa was sweet to send you my way. :) I wish you had a Publix, too! It might be worth browsing their online ad before the next time you visit a town that has one and taking the time to stop. There's a LOT of money to be saved with BOGO deals and coupons at Publix! Hope to see ya around here again, soon! :)
