Starting Sunday, Staples is having a sale on 2 things that might be good for couponing, especially if you're relatively new to it, still trying to figure it all out, and the whole notebook thing freaks you out a little.
They have clear, zippered pencil pockets for $1. I use a pencil pocket for storing coupons I intend to use at the check out, so I don't have to walk around the store holding them. Also, they have accordion style cases on sale for $5, with the in-ad coupon. My friend Erin stores her coupons in one of these and only clips coupons as needed. Most coupon databases online will tell you in which paper you'll find the coupon. She stores a month at a time under each divider in the accordion case and pulls them out when she needs them, then clips away. :)
You can find the ad here. Happy organizing! Have a great weekend, everybody! :)

I rarely use coupons because I could never find a good way to organize them. But I finally found a way that works for me. A small, pocket photo album. Found it at Target for $1.99. It holds 36 4x6s, so I can store tons of coupons in a single book. They slide in and out easily, and I can stack two or three in each page horizontally or vertically, and above all, I can see ALL of them when I flip thru the pages! I have an accordion style holder which I loathe, since you have to flip thru all the coupons to find the one you need within each category. Anyway, I'm sure all you coupon-istas have known about the photo album method for eons, but this coupon rookie is so excited about this discovery, I just had to share!
ReplyDeleteYou know what, Kendra, I've never thought of that! What a great idea! I'm not a particular fan of the accordion file either, but different strokes for different folks! Thanks for sharing! :)
